A Haven of Peace in which the ambient tranquillity also offers the soul that is often missing in hotels. The warm welcome, space, colours and decoration all combine to create an “interior” atmosphere in the Jardins de Sophie, marvellously rounded off by the advantages of a 9-hectare estate set in the lush environment of the Vosges. This mountain hotel voluptuously sharpens the senses, through the inventive cuisine of Hervé Cune, through the touch of modernity in its lounge bar with open fire, through the choice of curtains adding a personal touch to each of the 32 bedrooms where the satin and cotton come from the famous household linen producers in the Vosges, through the prints from an encyclopaedia of the environment decorating the communal areas, through the terrace opening onto the scents of the forest, and in the recreational amenities e.g. the indoor pool with a summer beach and spa (sauna, massage, steam room etc.), all of them encouraging you to “take a deep breath”. Deer and goats add to the liveliness reflected in the events hosted by the hotel, such as an Easter egg hunt, or the loan of a mountain bike.
Cuisine
Hervé Cune, Maître Cuisinier de France, buys only the very best produce with which to reinvent local fare for each season! Among his wonderful dishes is Mr. Mougeolle's Pigeon, a pure product of the Vosges.
